Mariners announce roster for 2026 Spring Breakout game

The Seattle Mariners have one of the top farm systems in baseball. And that talent will be on full display Friday, when the Mariners’ top prospects square off against the Milwaukee Brewers’ top prospects as part of MLB’s third annual Spring Breakout games.

Mariners Updates: Latest on J.P. Crawford’s shoulder; Julio, Naylor back

The Mariners’ 27-man Spring Breakout roster, which was announced Wednesday morning, includes all six of their MLB Pipeline Top 100 prospects:

• SS Colt Emerson (No. 9 in Pipeline’s Top 100)
• LHP Kade Anderson (No. 21)
• RHP Ryan Sloan (No. 33)
• OF Lazaro Montes (No. 43)
• 2B Michael Arroyo (No. 67)
• OF Jonny Farmelo (No. 78)

It also includes each of the other four prospects who are ranked in the Mariners’ top 10: shortstop Felnin Celesten, catcher Luke Stevenson, shortstop Nick Becker and outfielder Yorger Bautista.

According to MLB.com, the Mariners are No. 1 in their rankings of the “most loaded” Spring Breakout rosters. The Brewers are ranked No. 3.

The MLB’s Spring Breakout games, which debuted in 2024, serve as a showcase for the league’s top prospects. Each organization fields a team of its top prospects to face a team of top prospects from another organization in an exhibition game.

First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 2:10 p.m. at the Brewers’ American Family Fields of Phoenix.
