The Seattle Mariners made a host of roster moves Monday afternoon as the MLB offseason officially began.

In addition to the moves, the Mariners announced that they have extended a qualifying offer to pending free agent outfielder Randy Arozarena. The one-year MLB qualifying offer for teams to give to pending free agents this offseason is worth $23.15 million for the 2027 season.

It is expected Arozarena will decline the offer as he is coming off his best season in the big leagues and will be one of the most coveted players available in free agency, putting him in line for a big, multi-year payday. If Arozarena declines the qualifying offer and subsequently signs with another team this offseason, the Mariners will receive a compensation pick for the 2027 MLB Draft.

Arozarena is one of eight players in the league extended the qualifying offer, per ESPN’s Jeff Passan. The deadline for players to decide on qualifying offers is Nov. 17.

The Mariners’ roster moves include seven players being returned from the 60-day injured list, which does not exist during the offseason, to the 40-man roster. They also announced five players from the 40-man roster had cleared waivers and were outrighted to Triple-A Tacoma.
