Randy Arozarena is out of the Seattle Mariners’ lineup against the Washington Nationals on Saturday, one day after making an early exit due to a left hamstring issue.

Arozarena left Friday’s 10-2 win over the Nationals in the third inning after he landed awkwardly on first base trying to beat out a grounder. After being checked on by trainers, he was able to walk off the field without help.

Manager Dan Wilson said postgame that Arozarena was day-to-day, and MLB.com’s Daniel Kramer reported Arozarena said the issue should be fine in a “couple days.”

Arozarena had started in all 71 games for the Mariners this season prior to being held out of the lineup Saturday. He leads the team in batting average (.291), hits (76), runs scored (47), doubles (18), stolen bases (19) and bWAR (2.6).

With Arozarena out of the lineup, Luke Raley is starting in left field and moving up to the cleanup spot in the order. Victor Robles is starting in right field and batting sixth.

Below is a look at the rest of the Mariners’ lineup as right-hander Luis Castillo takes the mound against Nationals right-hander Cade Cavalli.

The Mariners continue their series with the Nationals at 1:05 p.m. on Saturday. Radio coverage begins at noon with the pregame show on Seattle Sports 710 am and the Seattle Sports app.
