Mariners notebook: Round 2 of Kyle Seager vs. Jered Weaver?
Will there be a Round 2 of Kyle Seager and Jered Weaver, who had a beef the last time they faced each other?
The last time Kyle Seager faced Angels pitcher Jered Weaver, it resulted in a HBP and ejection for Weaver. (AP)

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Mariners are looking to win their 41st road game of the season in Sunday’s series finale with the Angels. Don’t expect anything in Round 2 of Kyle Seager vs. Jered Weaver. Seager said Saturday that the incident that happened at Safeco Field less than two weeks ago is behind him and his focus as usual is on the game.
I would not expect any extracurricular activities as the Angels cannot afford to lose focus or a starter in the position they are in right now, a half game out of the final wild card spot.
Lineup!
Ketel Marte, SS
Kyle Seager, 3B
Nelson Cruz, DH
Robinson Cano, 2B
Jesus Montero, 1B
Seth Smith, LF
Logan Morrison, RF
Brad Miller, SS
John Hicks, C
Hisashi Iwakuma, RHP
Notes
• A rare start in the outfield for Logan Morrison as Lloyd McClendon wanted to get Jesus Montero into the lineup. Montero is 6×12 vs Weaver.
• If you were wondering why Stefen Romero did not pinch hit for Jesus Sucre Saturday night with runners on late in the game, it was because he was not at the ballpark. Romero was sent back to Seattle to get his shoulder looked at. He hurt it crashing into the wall in Kansas City.
• Still no word on a Wednesday starter but the hope remains James Paxton will be able to go.
• Today’s game can be heard on 770 KTTH.
