Lineups: Adam Lind at first base for Mariners

After missing games with a finger injury, Adam Lind starts again for the Mariners in Game 1 of a critical home series against the Blue Jays.

Lind sprained his right index finger and reportedly felt improvement after his second straight day of batting practice on Saturday. He went 0 for 4 in his return on Sunday. He will play first base and bat sixth on Monday. The Mariners entered the day two games behind Toronto for the second wild-card spot with 13 games to play. Seattle will hand the ball to Taijuan Walker, who is coming off his finest start of the year – a three-hit shutout on Sept. 13, where he struck out 11 Angels batters.

The Blue Jays will counter with right-handed starter Marco Estrada for the 7:10 p.m. game, which will be live on 710 ESPN Seattle. The pregame show begins at 6.
