The Mariners made a second move Sunday morning to shape their lineup against the White Sox, recalling first baseman Daniel Vogelbach from Triple-A, while optioning utility infielder Mike Freeman to the minors.

Vogelbach will bat seventh in the series finale vs. Chicago, with newly recalled righty Chris Heston on the mound for Seattle.

Vogelbach was hitting .262 with 13 runs, five homers and 24 RBI in 31 games for Triple-A Tacoma. He has had less success in six games this season with Seattle, batting .143 with just one RBI. He made his Major League debut with the Mariners last season.

Freeman had had just two hits in 30 at-bats during a pair of stints with Seattle this season.

First pitch can be heard at 1:10 p.m. on 710 ESPN Seattle.
