Canzone blasts longest home run of Mariners’ season

Dominic Canzone hit the longest home run of the Seattle Mariners’ season with a 451-foot blast against the Detroit Tigers on Saturday.

Facing Detroit right-hander Keider Montero in the fourth inning, Canzone jumped on a 1-1 slider up in the zone and sent it soaring well beyond the center-field fence at Comerica Park to give Seattle a 4-0 lead. Canzone also had an RBI double off the center-field wall in the second inning.

Canzone’s tape-measure blast on Saturday is tied for the 17th-longest home run in MLB this season, according to Statcast.

It’s the Mariners’ longest home run since Cole Young’s 456-foot blast against the Texas Rangers on July 31, 2025, at T-Mobile Park

Canzone now has four career homers that have traveled 440-plus feet. Last year, he crushed a 450-foot homer against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field and a 447-foot shot against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium. And on opening day on March 26, Canzone hit a 444-foot against the Cleveland Guardians at T-Mobile Park, which was Seattle’s longest homer of the season until Saturday.
