Mariners starting pitcher Bryan Woo, closer Andrés Muñoz and center fielder Julio Rodríguez are headed to the 95th MLB All-Star Game in Atlanta on July 15 after being announced as reserves for the American League team on Sunday.

Mariners star catcher Cal Raleigh, the major league home run leader, was named the AL’s starting catcher this past Wednesday.

That gives the Mariners a total of four All-Star selections, which are their most since 2018. It’s the first time in franchise history that Seattle has four All-Stars age 28 or younger.

Woo, 25, is headed to the All-Star Game for the first time in his three-year MLB career. The right-hander has a 2.77 ERA and 0.96 WHIP over 107 1/3 innings this season, with 104 strikeouts and just 19 walks. He ranks ninth in the AL in ERA, sixth in WHIP and eighth in innings pitched.

Woo is one of just two pitchers in the majors this season with a sub-3.00 ERA, at least 100 strikeouts and 20 or fewer walks. The other is reigning AL Cy Young Award winner and Seattle University product Tarik Skubal.

Woo has gone six-plus innings in all 17 of his outings and is tied for the AL lead with 13 quality starts. He’s been especially dominant lately, allowing just two earned runs in 25 innings over his past four starts.

Woo is the fourth Mariners starting pitcher in the past three seasons to earn an All-Star nod. Luis Castillo and George Kirby were All-Stars in 2023 and Logan Gilbert was an All-Star in 2024.

Muñoz, 26, earned his second consecutive All-Star selection amid another dominant season out of Seattle’s bullpen. The hard-throwing right-hander has a 1.06 ERA over 34 innings, with 45 strikeouts and 13 walks. He also has a 0.82 WHIP and a .133 opponents’ batting average after picking up his 21st save on Sunday.

Muñoz leads all AL relievers in both ERA and opponents’ average. He didn’t allow an earned run over his first 23 2/3 innings this season, which set a franchise record.

Muñoz joins Kazuhiro Sasaki as the only relievers in franchise history to earn multiple All-Star nods.

Rodríguez, 24, is an All-Star for the third time in his first four MLB seasons. He ranks second among AL outfielders with a 3.4 WAR, trailing only New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge.

Rodríguez is slashing .247/.306/.389 with 11 home runs, three triples, 13 doubles and a .695 OPS in 89 games. He’s had a spectacular season defensively, ranking fourth among AL outfielders with nine outs above average, according to Baseball Savant. He also has 15 stolen bases in 18 attempts.
