Bryant was asked about the injury to his teammate when he joined Seattle Sports’ Brock and Salk on Thursday morning and gave a short but encouraging response.
“Yeah, yeah, he’s good. He’s good,” Bryant said of Emmanwori.

Emmanwori, a second-round pick in the 2025 draft, showed up as limited on the Seahawks’ practice report Wednesday. In her pool report, ESPN’s Kalyn Kahler said he was hurt late in the session while defending a pass and walked off the field without help. She added that “several players and coaches went over to comfort him before he left.”
Seahawks ‘fully expect’ Emmanwori to play in Super Bowl
Brock and Salk weren’t entirely sure what to make of Bryant’s comment, but they figured it was a better sign than other responses Bryant could have given.
“It could have gone the other way and it could have been a, oh man, we’re so bummed for him. We feel so bad,” former NFL quarterback Brock Huard said.
Huard added he thinks it will end up being a day-to-day situation.
Emmanwori has been one of the most valuable pieces of Seattle’s suffocating defense this season while lining up all over the field as a do-it-all standout. In 16 games including the playoffs, he has 89 tackles, 15 pass deflections, nine tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and one interception.
“It’s always a great thing to have Nick out there with this. He’s a special talent. We need him,” Bryant told Brock and Salk before addressing the injury. “We’ve always needed him from day one, and he actually keeps me going. He’s someone I can lean on and vice versa, man. We always appreciate him.”
