Stopping the league-leading offense was going to be hard enough for Seattle at full strength.

Now, the Seahawks will have to do it without safety Kam Chancellor and defensive end Frank Clark, both of whom are inactive for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons on 710 ESPN Seattle.

Chancellor suffered a groin injury during Thursday’s practice and missed Friday’s practice. Coach Pete Carroll said the injury was not related to the groin injury that kept Chancellor out in the first half of training camp. He was listed as questionable, and Sunday will be the first game he has missed since sitting out the first two games of 2015 in a contract holdout.

The Seahawks will also be missing Frank Clark, who did not practice this week because of a hamstring injury. Clark is a mainstay of the Seahawks’ nickel pass rush, and he’s tied for the team lead with three sacks.

The Falcons lead the league in both points and yards, and quarterback Matt Ryan is averaging 348 yards passing, most in the league.

Other players inactive for the Seahawks: RB C.J. Prosise (hand), RB Thomas Rawls (leg), G Rees Odhiambo, OL George Fant, DT Quinton Jefferson (hand).

The Falcons’ inactive players: CB Jalen Collins, LB A.J. Hawk, LB Paul Worrilow, G Mike Person, G Wes Schweitzer, TE Joshua Perkins, DT Courtney Upshaw.
