Former Mariner Ichiro says goodbye to 2015… from the pitcher’s mound

Former Mariner Ichiro Suzuki played in the final game of his season on Sunday and, in the process, scratched a final itch by pitching one inning.

Ichiro Suzuki did it all during his 12-year career with the Mariners. Well, almost.

The 10-time All-Star, who has collected an incredible 4,213 hits during his stints in Japan and the MLB, played his final game of the season on Sunday with the Miami Marlins. And, after years of lobbying, the 41-year-old took the mound for the first time in the eighth inning.

The future Hall of Famer faced five batters in his one inning, allowing two doubles and an earned run.
