Well, that’s about as bad as it could get for the Seattle Seahawks on a Monday night in prime time.

Instant Reaction | Seahawks lose | Box Score

Usually, the Hawks play down to the wire and make things happen in an electric atmosphere. And all the electricity, it came from the Bears and Chicago. Holy smokes.

Right from the jump, you could hear them, you could feel them, you could sense them. They were violent in every phase. The Seahawks were not. They were abysmal on third down and had only one rushing first down.

The Seahawks have the worst red-zone defense in the NFL. I mean, head coach Mike Macdonald’s face at the end when D’Andre Swift pounded that ball in after the delay of game, I think that’s the most anger I’ve kind of felt in his eyes and face. His eyes were burning mad with a defense that just gave up four more red zone touchdowns in four trips.

No answers tonight. The Bears out hit them, the Bears outplayed them, dominated them physically at the line of scrimmage on both sides.

Every need and want I had coming into this game was not met tonight. And I know Sam Darnold will be the conversation and offensive coordinator Brian Flurry is going to be right in the crosshairs, but I promise you internally Mike Macdonald and John Schneider are gonna look in the mirror and say, man, we got smacked physically in a way we have not in years.
