SEATTLE – Three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Leonard Williams exited with a stinger in the Seattle Seahawks’ 34-17 loss to the Chicago Bears on Monday night.
Williams got hurt midway through the third quarter while tackling running back Roschon Johnson during a TD drive that gave the Bears a 20-9 lead. The 12th-year NFL veteran was examined in the injury tent shortly afterward and listed as questionable to return, but didn’t play another snap.
“Leo had a stinger and we’ll see how that shakes out,” head coach Mike Macdonald said after the game.
Williams has 3.0 sacks and seven tackles for loss in eight games this season. He signed a three-year, $90 million contract extension in August that made him one of the NFL’s highest-paid defensive tackles.
Macdonald added that edge rusher Connor O’Toole suffered a foot injury.
