Raiders claim Seahawks 2025 O-line draft pick off waivers

The Las Vegas Raiders claimed second-year guard Bryce Cabeldue off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday.

The Seahawks waived Cabeldue ahead of their season opener on Wednesday to make room on their 53-man roster for safety AJ Finley, who they signed off their practice squad for secondary depth. Seattle was missing two starting safeties with Nick Emmanwori and Ty Okada both sidelined by injuries.

Cabeldue, a 2025 sixth-round draft pick out of Kansas, was listed as the backup left guard on Seattle’s depth chart. The Seahawks still have two other backup guards on their 53-man roster in third-year pro Christian Haynes and rookie fifth-round pick Beau Stephens.

Cabeldue appeared in eight games for Seattle last season, logging 24 offensive snaps and 32 special teams snaps.

Cabeldue is the latest former Seahawks player to land with the Las Vegas Raiders, who are coached by former Seattle offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak. Wide receiver/special teams ace Dareke Young signed with the Raiders in March, while wide receiver Cody White signed with Las Vegas’ practice squad after being released by Seattle during roster cutdowns on Aug. 30.
