GM details why Taylor Ward is ‘really good fit’ for Mariners

The M’s addressed their glaring need for a right-handed bat by landing outfielder Taylor Ward in a trade with the Baltimore Orioles on Monday.

But aside from reliever Seranthony Domínguez – who was part of the return package in Saturday’s deal that sent Luis Castillo to the Chicago White Sox – Seattle was unable to add another bullpen arm.
