McIntosh opened training camp on the physically unable to perform list as he continues to recover from a torn ACL that he suffered during a July 26, 2025, training camp practice.

When speaking to reporters on Saturday, head coach Mike Macdonald said he had “no timetable” on McIntosh’s recovery.

“That was a tough injury,” Macdonald said. “And I know we’re going on almost a year now, but that was a really unfortunate injury for Kenny Mac. But he’s right there. He’s rehabbing. He’s working hard.”

McIntosh, a 2023 seventh-round draft pick out of Georgia, also missed most of his rookie season after suffering a knee injury during training camp that summer.

In 2024, McIntosh rushed for 172 yards on 31 carries for an average of 5.5 yards per attempt. He also had three catches for 22 yards that season, along with six kick returns for a 25.5-yard average.

Most of McIntosh’s playing time with the Seahawks came over the final month of the 2024 season, when he filled in as the backup running back with starter Kenneth Walker III sidelined for four of the final five games.

With Zach Charbonnet on the PUP list as he recovers from a torn ACL, Seattle currently has four healthy running backs: first-round draft pick Jadarian Price, George Holani, Emanuel Wilson and Jacardia Wright.

The Seahawks didn’t make a corresponding move on Monday, which means they have an open spot on their 90-man roster.
