Anderson and Sloan are two of the top prospects in all of baseball. Anderson is MLB Pipeline’s No. 5 overall prospect and Baseball America’s No. 7 overall prospect. Sloan is BA’s No. 5 and Pipeline’s No. 8.

Anderson, the No. 3 overall pick in last year’s MLB Draft, has dominated at Double-A Arkansas with a dazzling 1.22 ERA over his first 13 professional starts. Along the way, the 21-year-old left-hander has piled up 99 strikeouts and just 10 walks in 66 2/3 innings.

Anderson recently compiled a 27 2/3-inning scoreless streak and he leads the Texas League in ERA, strikeouts, WHIP (0.71), opponents’ batting average (.162), strikeout rate (41.4%) and walk rate (4.2%).

Sloan, a 2024 second-round pick, has logged a 4.11 ERA in 13 starts with Arkansas this season. The 6-foot-5 right-hander has 72 strikeouts and 12 walks in 57 innings – highlighted by a perfect six-inning, 11-strikeout outing on May 30.
