There are two beloved voices that have provided the soundtrack for the biggest Seattle Sports moments over the last 40-plus years, but fans never heard the broadcast icons together.
Until now.
Rick Rizzs, the longtime radio voice of the Seattle Mariners, and Steve Raible, the longtime radio voice of the Seattle Seahawks, have teamed up for the first time ever in an ad campaign for WSECU, a Washington-based credit union.
You can watch one of their commercials in the video at the top of this post.
Rizzs is currently in his 41st and final year on the call for the Mariners Radio Network, while Raible just called the Seahawks’ second Super Bowl-winning season in his 44th year as a member of the Seahawks Radio Network broadcast team. Raible, who was a wide receiver on the original 1976 Seahawks expansion team and had a six-year NFL career with Seattle, then moved to the broadcast booth as a color analyst in 1982 and eventually took over play-by-play duties in 2004.
Not only can you hear Rizzs and Raible on Seattle Sports 710 AM and the Seattle Sports app, which is the flagship of both the Mariners and Seahawks radio networks, but now you can hear them together in WSECU commercials together on the station as well as see them in new video commercials.
