Seahawks-49ers: Game time and TV details set for playoff matchup

All of the details for the NFC Divisional Round playoff game between the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers are finally set.

What to know about Seahawks-49ers divisional round matchup

The top-seeded Seahawks will return from their bye through the wild card round to host the sixth-seeded 49ers at 5 p.m. this Saturday, Jan. 17 at Lumen Field.

It will be the second straight game for the Seahawks against the 49ers, and the third meeting this season between the two NFC West rivals. San Francisco won at Seattle in Week 1, and the Seahawks returned the favor on Jan. 3 at the 49ers’ home, Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

The 49ers beat the third-seeded Philadelphia Eagles 23-19 on Sunday to advance to the divisional round.

The TV broadcast of Saturday’s divisional game will be carried on FOX. Radio coverage will be on Seattle Sports 710 AM and KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM, and the Seattle Sports, KIRO Newsradio and offical Seahawks apps, beginning three hours before kickoff at 2 p.m. with the pregame show.

The details for the big Hawks-Niners showdown have been revealed piece by piece since Sunday.

The 49ers’ win over the Eagles on Sunday afternoon locked San Francisco (12-5 regular season) into the game against the Seahawks (14-3). And following the last the playoff games on Sunday night, the NFL announced that the Seahawks-Niners game would be one of two postseason contests played on the following Saturday, with the other two falling to Sunday. The two kickoff times for Saturday – 1:30 p.m. or 5 p.m. – were known, but unassigned.

The NFL announced the fully updated bracket for the playoffs with kickoff times and TV broadcast assignments for the divisional round following Monday’s AFC Wild Card contest between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Texans. Here’s what it looks like now.
