Video: Who Seattle Sports hosts want Seahawks to pick at No. 18

On Thursday night, the Seattle Seahawks will be on the clock with the No. 18 overall pick in the NFL Draft.

What will they do with their first-round pick? And what should they do? Seattle Sports hosts were posed those two questions on Wednesday.

There was consensus on the first question: All six hosts think Seahawks general manager John Schneider will trade back and acquire additional draft capital, as he’s often done over the years.

“I think he’s gonna work really hard to maximize second and third-round picks,” Brock Huard said. “I’d probably bet on John moving (back) – and maybe moving out of this first round.”

As for the second question, below is a summary of what each host thinks the Seahawks should do. For their full responses, you can watch the video above.

• Brock Huard – trade down, draft North Dakota State offensive lineman Grey Zabel or Alabama guard Tyler Booker

“Home-run pick for me would be to trade from 18 to the mid-20s and get one of these premier offensive linemen I’ve talked a lot about – Grey Zabel or Tyler Booker.”

• Mike Salk – draft Michigan defensive defensive tackle Kenneth Grant or trade up for Georgia linebacker Jalon Walker

“I think they should make their defensive line, their front seven, elite. Kenneth Grant from Michigan or if you can find a way to trade up for Jalon Walker from Georgia, those would be my preferences.”

• Michael Bumpus – draft South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori

“I’m taking Nick Emmanwori, the safety out of South Carolina. The dude gives me Kam Chancellor vibes. … He hits. He takes the football out of the sky. He’s a baller.”

• Stacy Rost – draft Michigan tight end Colston Loveland

“I’m going tight end. … I want like even my mom to be able to tell when this rookie is a Pro Bowler. So I’m gonna go Colston Loveland out of Michigan at 18.”

• Dave Wyman – draft Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell

“Jihaad Campbell, the kid out of Alabama. That would be my guess. And it would probably piss everybody off, but I think it would be great.”

• Bob Stelton – draft an interior offensive lineman

“If it were me, GM Bob Stelton, I’m going O-line. Interior O-line.”
