Seahawks Game-Changing Plays: Seattle’s perfect game-winning drive

Oct 31, 2022, 5:22 PM

The Seahawks got to 5-3 on the year and remain in first place in the NFC West after beating the New York Giants 27-13 in Week 8 at Lumen Field.

Huard: The Seahawks’ defense is now as aggressive as advertised

Despite the two-score victory, the game was very close throughout. In fact, the game was tied 13-13 in the fourth quarter before the Seahawks score the go-ahead touchdown with just over nine minutes to go.

That drive saw Seattle go 75 yards down the field in just five plays, all of which were passes by Geno Smith and all of which were completed. The end result was a 33-yard touchdown pass to receiver Tyler Lockett, who clutched up after a big drop on a would-be touchdown earlier in the game as well as a costly fumble that resulted in the Giants’ lone touchdown of the day.

That touchdown drive was the focus of Michael Bumpus’ Game-Changing Plays video for Seattle Sports 710 AM’s YouTube channel.

Bumpus is a former NFL receiver who now hosts Bump and Stacy on Seattle Sports 710 AM as well as Seahawks pregame, halftime and postgame shows on the Seahawks Radio Network.

In the video, Bumpus goes play-by-play through the Seahawks’ game-winning touchdown drive with insight into how each play developed and what Seattle was aiming to do on offense against New York’s defensive looks.
