Dae-Ho Lee had great timing for his first two-homer game in the major leagues.

Lee, the 33-year-old Mariners rookie from South Korea, had a huge role in the Mariners’ comeback win Wednesday, drilling a solo home run to center in the sixth inning to cut Oakland’s lead to three, then finding the left-field bleachers an inning later that put Seattle in a 9-8 lead for good.

It was a big day for Lee, who sees limited playing time for Seattle as the right-handed half of the platoon at first base. The homers were great news for him as he looks to make it into the lineup more, as both came off of right-handed pitchers.

Lee is now hitting .281 with four homers and six RBIs in 15 games for the Mariners, who swept Oakland and lead the American League West with a 16-11 record heading into a four-game set in Houston.
