A Seattle Seahawks player has made a girl at his old high school very happy by agreeing to be her date to prom.

Seahawks tight end Luke Willson was making an appearance at his old high school, St. Thomas of Villanova, in Canada when the girl asked him in front of a full high school gymnasium.

“It’s a couple months away but I want to have a hotter prom date than all my friends so I was wondering if you would go with me,” high school student Stephanie Dufour said.

Willson asked what day the prom was and if it was on a weekend. Dufour told him it was on June 13.

“Usually we get weekends off,” Willson said. “So if I can swing it, I’ll come back and I’ll go to prom with you.”

The crowd in the gym erupted in cheers.
