FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Seahawks tight end Luke Willson returned to practice only a few weeks after knee surgery. He isn’t quite back, though. At least not until next week, as Willson was among the seven players Seattle declared inactive for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.
Same for running back Thomas Rawls and offensive lineman Bradley Sowell, but Kam Chancellor is back this week after missing the past four games with a strained groin.
Rookie receiver Tanner McEvoy and safety Tyvis Powell – two key special-teams contributors – were also among Seattle’s inactive players as the team is getting healthier. Offensive lineman Rees Odhiambo is inactive as is defensive lineman Michael Bennett, who is coming back from knee surgery.
New England’s inactive players are: DL Woodrow Hamilton; RB Dion Lewis; OT LaAdrian Waddle; LB Kyle Van Noy; CB Eric Rowe; RB D.J. Foster; and TE Matt Lengel.
