The Seattle Seahawks have announced that they will change the time of their scheduled Week 6 home game against the Arizona Cardinals if the Seattle Mariners are able to force a Game 4 in their American League Division Series with the Houston Astros.
The Seahawks are currently scheduled to play the Cardinals at 1:05 p.m. Sunday at Lumen Field, while Game 4 of the ALDS would happen at 12:07 p.m. across the street at T-Mobile Park. In the event that Game 4 occurs, which will happen as long as the M’s win one of their next two games, the Hawks will change their game to a 2:30 p.m. kickoff.
Here are the two scenarios for Sunday:
If only Seahawks play Sunday
• Seahawks vs. Cardinals, 1:05 p.m.
If Mariners force Game 4
• Mariners vs. Astros, 12:07 p.m.
• Seahawks vs. Cardinals, 2:30 p.m.
Should both games happen Sunday, there will be major traffic around the stadiums with over 100,000 spectators expected to be in the Sodo area.
According to Seahawks.com, in the event of a 2:30 p.m. start, Touchdown City would open at 11 a.m., Lumen Field’s main gates would open at 12:30 p.m., and the gates for club and suite tickets would open at 11:30 a.m.
