There’s the switch to a 3-4 front from a 4-3, a new defensive coordinator in Clint Hurtt, and multiple new coaches on that side of the ball. It’s also where Seattle has the position with the most wide-open competition other than quarterback.
The Seahawks are heading into their first preseason game Saturday with a battle for both starting outside cornerback spots still ongoing. The CB room is full of talent but not a lot of experience in Seattle, with Sidney Jones, who joined the Hawks before last season, the team’s longest-tenured player at the position.

The Seahawks will play their first of three preseason games when they head to Pittsburgh for a 4 p.m. Saturday contest. Coverage will be carried on Seattle Sports Station 710 AM and KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM, the flagship stations of the Seahawks Radio Network, beginning at 2 p.m. with Bump and the rest of the team on the pregame show.
