Apple Cup: Radio broadcast details, how to stream WSU at UW Huskies
The long wait is over – for the first time in two years, the WSU Cougars and UW Huskies will meet in the Apple Cup tonight.
There is no shortage of intrigue for this one at Husky Stadium.
Both teams have interim head coaches – Jake Dickert for Washington State, Bob Gregory for Washington – after Nick Rolovich and Jimmy Lake were both relieved of their posts earlier this season. WSU comes into the game on a roll despite its coaching change, though, sitting at 6-5 overall and 5-3 in Pac-12 play, and is still in play for a spot in the Pac-12 championship game next week.
For the Cougars to book the spot opposite Utah in that title matchup, however, they not only need Oregon State to knock off Oregon on Saturday, but they need to beat the Huskies (4-7 overall, 3-5 Pac-12) for the first time since 2012. The good news for WSU is it appears to have its best opportunity during that drought to win the annual rivalry clash based on the directions the two programs have taken this season.
