Seahawks’ Luke Willson on his ‘Oscar-worthy’ performance in Seattle superhero video

If you thought their upcoming game against Arizona was important for the Seahawks, you obviously haven’t been paying attention to the bigger problems they’ve been dealing with. Namely, monsters.

Tight end Luke Willson, one of Seattle’s saviors from “Seahawks vs. Monsters,” told “Danny, Dave and Moore” that he’s seen the short video, which was produced by SHEP Films and released Monday. He called it “funny, somewhat,” though he was impressed with his own acting abilities.

“I thought it was Oscar-worthy,” Willson said.

Willson joined defensive end Michael Bennett, kicker Steven Hauschka, punter Jon Ryan and linebackers Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright in a war to save Seattle from Godzilla-esque beasts. Willson’s main foe was a radioactive slug who had recently destroyed a building with a “12” flag. Willson’s line: “Not cool, bro.”

“There was a yellow slug-like thing and they told me that I was going to catch and throw a boulder back-and-forth,” he recalled.

Willson said he didn’t make it out of his punching ping-pong match unscathed.

“I got a little cut on my hand,” he said. “I didn’t tell them that.”

But worry not, Seahawks fans. Willson said the video was filmed during training camp and that his heroics weren’t a liability.

“In camp, a little cut on your hand is the least of your worries,” he said.
