You won’t believe it, but snow is possible Sunday in Carolina

The good news about Sunday’s forecast in Charlotte: It’s supposed to be well above 0 degrees. The potentially concerning news: There’s a chance for snow.

After last week’s historically cold matchup in Minnesota, the Seahawks probably wouldn’t mind feeling their fingers in the Divisional playoff game, but there’s about a little less than 40 percent chance of snow showers around kickoff, according to Weather Underground.

The Charlotte Observer reports that Scott Krentz, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, put it at about a 20 percent chance.

“It’s a pretty low chance, and with not a lot of accumulation either, the way it looks; I’d say less than a tenth of an inch or so, maybe a couple tenths,” Krentz told the Observer. “Or maybe just flurries. Or nothing. But definitely something to keep an eye on.”

Krentz told The Observer that, as the day wears on, the temperatures should reach up into the mid-40s with a chance of some light rain.
