The Seattle Seahawks won’t play on foreign soil this fall.
That was confirmed Wednesday morning when the NFL announced the remaining matchups for its nine-game international slate this season.
Where Seahawks’ strength of schedule ranks for 2026
Prior to Wednesday, there was still a possibility the Seahawks could have been selected for one of two international games – either against the San Francisco 49ers in Mexico City or against the Washington Commanders in London. That’s because the 49ers and Commanders had already been announced as the designated home teams for those games, and Seattle has road matchups against both teams this season.
But instead, the NFL announced that the Minnesota Vikings will face the 49ers in Mexico City and the Indianapolis Colts will face the Commanders in London.
The Seahawks have twice been part of the NFL’s international series slate. In 2018, they beat the Oakland Raiders 27-3 in London. And in 2022, the lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 21-16 at in Munich, Germany. The Seahawks also routed the Buffalo Bills 50-17 in Toronto in 2012, but the location for that game was scheduled by the Bills and not the NFL.
The NFL will continue to announce select matchups for the 2026 season up until 5 p.m. Thursday, when the league will reveal the complete schedule for the upcoming season.
Every team’s opponents are already set, as determined by the NFL’s scheduling format.
The Seahawks’ home opponents are: the 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals, Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots.
The Seahawks’ road opponents are: the 49ers, Rams, Cardinals, Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles, Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders.
