Seahawks reveal uniforms for season opener vs 49ers

The Seattle Seahawks announced they will wear their college navy jerseys and wolf grey pants as their uniforms in Sunday afternoon’s season opener against the NFC West rival San Francisco 49ers at Lumen Field.

It will mark just the 14th time the Seahawks have worn this specific combination since their current uniform set debuted in 2012 – and the first time they’ve worn it against the 49ers.
The only other time the Seahawks donned this combination for a season opener was in 2013, when they kicked off their Super Bowl-winning season with a road win over the Carolina Panthers.
Seattle used to only wear this uniform combination on the road when the home team opted to wear white jerseys. But in recent years, the Seahawks also began wearing this combo at home. Seattle is 7-6 overall in this combination, with four straight wins dating back to 2022.
The Seahawks announced last month that they’ll wear their popular royal blue and silver throwback uniforms three times this season – at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 5, on the road against the Washington Commanders on Nov. 2 and at home against the Minnesota Vikings on Nov. 30. The Week 5 clash against Tampa Bay will be a double-throwback game, with the Bucs donning their popular white-and-orange “Creamsicle” uniforms as both teams celebrate their 50th seasons.
The Seahawks also were among the eight NFL teams who unveiled their new “Rivalries” alternate uniforms last week. Seattle will debut its wolf grey and iridescent green “Rivalries” set on Dec. 18 at home against the Los Angeles Rams.
