The Seattle Seahawks placed right guard Anthony Bradford on injured reserve Wednesday.
Bradford was held out of Seattle’s 31-7 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday with knee and hip injuries.

Bradford, a fourth-year pro, will be out for at least the next four games. He had started 21 straight games including the playoffs at right guard prior to missing last week’s game. The LSU product was initially ruled as questionable last Friday for Seattle’s Week 2 matchup but was downgraded to out Saturday.
Head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters Wednesday he expects Bradford to make a full recovery and the injury to be on the “shorter side” rather than long-term.
Third-year pro Christian Haynes made his first career start in place of Bradford and split snaps with rookie Beau Stephens. Haynes played 43 snaps and Stephens played 27 in his NFL debut.
“With the way those guys played, I think we’ve got a great competition right there,” Macdonald said.
Additional roster moves
Seattle signed safety Rodney Thomas II to the 53-man roster to fill the spot vacated by Bradford’s injury.
Thomas was elevated from the practice squad and started the first two games of the season in place of injured safety Ty Okada. He has two pass breakups this season, including one that led to an interception in Week 1.
The Seahawks also signed defensive lineman Uso Seumalo and wide receiver Malick Meiga to the practice squad.
Seumalo, an undrafted rookie out of Kansas State, was with the Seahawks during the preseason and waived during roster cutdowns. He was one of several players featured during HBO’s “Hard Knocks.”
Meiga, who went undrafted out of Coastal Carolina, was with the Carolina Panthers during training camp.
