The Seattle Seahawks have reportedly made Michael Dickson the highest-paid punter in the NFL.
Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported Tuesday morning that the Seahawks and Dickson have agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension worth $16.2 million, locking up the 29 year old through 2029 on a deal with an average annual value of $4.05 million.

The Seahawks officially announced the four-year extension with Dickson late Tuesday morning but did not disclose the terms, as is customary.
The Australian-born Dickson is a one-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro, both honors of which came in his rookie season of 2018.
Seattle traded up to pick the 6-foot-2, 208-pound Dickson in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of the University of Texas.
Dickson has played every Seahawks regular season game plus five playoff games since joining the team. He ranks third in NFL history with an average of 48.2 yards per punt, is on top of the Seahawks leaderboard in net average (42.9 yards), and his 212 punts downed inside the 20 is behind only Jon Ryan in team history.
In 2024, Dickson had 3,756 yards on 76 punts for an average of 49.4 yards per punt. He also had 3,292 net punt yards for an average of 43.3. He was named first team All-Pro by Pro Football Focus for the season.
A three-time NFC Special Teams Player of the Week and one-time NFC Special Teams Player of the Month in his career, Dickson had a career-long punt of 73 yards in 2023.
Dickson averaged a career-high 50 yards per punt in 2023, has averaged over 44 net yards per punt three times (2020, 2022, 2023), and has never had a single-season net punt yard average of under 40 yards.
In addition to serving as Seattle’s punter, Dickson adds value as the holder for two-time Pro Bowl kicker Jason Myers, who the Seahawks have signed through 2026.
The Seahawks, who are entering their season season under head coach Mike Macdonald, are holding a two-day mandatory minicamp on Tuesday and Wednesday.
