Macdonald is one of 90 participants in the annual star-studded American Century Championship at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Stateline, Nevada, along the shore of Lake Tahoe.

The competitive part of the event features a 54-hole tournament that runs Friday through Sunday. Portions of the tournament will be broadcast on NBC, Peacock and NBC Sports Network.

The tournament field includes 18 Hall of Famers, 17 active athletes and other celebrities.

According to the Reno Gazette-Journal, some of the headliners include NBA superstar Stephen Curry; NBA Hall of Famers Charles Barkley, Vince Carter and Ray Allen; NFL Hall of Famers Drew Brees, Steve Young, Jerry Rice, Larry Fitzgerald, Marcus Allen and Brian Urlacher; former NFL quarterback Tony Romo; and MLB Hall of Fame pitcher John Smoltz.

Macdonald is one of three NFL head coaches slated to participate, along with Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell and first-year Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh.

The field also includes a pair of current players on NFC West rival teams: Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams and San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk.

Macdonald guided the Seahawks to a Super Bowl title this past February in his second season at the helm. In doing so, he became the third-youngest head coach to win a Lombardi Trophy and the first head coach to win a Super Bowl as his team’s primary defensive play caller.
