Seahawks Injury Updates: Latest on WR Tory Horton, RB Zach Charbonnet

Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald provided injury updates on wide receiver Tory Horton and running back Zach Charbonnet while speaking to reporters Monday morning at the NFL’s annual league meeting in Phoenix.

Seahawks’ ‘Barnyard’ play to remain legal for 2026

Macdonald said Horton probably won’t be 100% this spring, but should be ready for the start of training camp, according to Seahawks.com’s John Boyle. Horton suffered a shin/groin injury in Week 9 and was later placed on injured reserve, where he remained for the rest of his rookie season. He then underwent surgery in the offseason.

Macdonald said he expects Charbonnet to return at some point during the 2026 season. Charbonnet suffered a torn ACL in Seattle’s divisional round playoff win over the San Francisco 49ers and later underwent surgery on Feb. 20.

Horton, a 2025 fifth-round draft pick out of Colorado State, had 13 catches for 161 yards and five touchdowns in eight games. The speedy wideout also had 16 punt returns for 238 yards, including a franchise-record 95-yard punt return touchdown.

Charbonnet rushed for 730 yards, a team-high 12 touchdowns and 4.0 yards per carry while splitting time in the backfield with eventual Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III. Charbonnet also had 20 catches for 144 yards.
