Head coach Mike Macdonald briefly hit on the Seattle Seahawks’ injury situation during his conversation with Seattle Sports’ Brock and Salk on Friday morning.

Seahawks not considering QB change amid Darnold’s struggles

Macdonald was most optimistic about right guard Anthony Bradford, who was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury on Sept. 23. Having spent the past four games on IR, Bradford is eligible to be activated next week ahead of Seattle’s Oct. 25 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.

“Yeah, I’d say Bradford, really good chance of him practicing this week and playing,” Macdonald said.

The news on running back Jadarian Price was encouraging as well. Price, who is dealing with a chest injury, is required to miss at least one more game while on IR. Macdonald saying the Seahawks should be looking at a return “sooner rather than later.”

As for the possibility of running back Zach Charbonnet returning for next week’s game against the Chiefs, Macdonald did not shed any additional light on the possibility.
“Zach, no update unfortunately for you,” Macdonald said.

Charbonnet returned to practice on Oct. 1 for the first time since undergoing February surgery to repair a torn ACL. Macdonald told the media on Wednesday that Charbonnet looked “tremendous, but he cautioned the fourth-year pro would not be rushed in his return.

“We’re not even at 9 months,” Macdonald said. “You know what kind of standard we hold guys to coming off knees. It’s pretty remarkable we are having this conversation.”

Charbonnet must be activated from the physically unable to perform list and placed on Seattle’s 53-man roster by Oct. 22, or else he will remain on the PUP list for the rest of the season.

In addition to the three players named, Macdonald indicated there could be others as the Seahawks continue to assess potential injuries coming out of Thursday’s loss in Denver. Tight end Elijah Arroyo suffered a shoulder injury in the first half.

“We had some other things come out of the game,” Macdonald said. “We’re not sure of the severity yet.”
