Seahawks’ Cary Williams a healthy scratch for the second straight week
Seahawks cornerback Cary Williams, who lost his starting job two weeks ago, is inactive once again for Seattle's game against Minnesota.
MINNEAPOLIS – Cornerback Cary Williams remains on the shelf for the Seahawks, inactive for a second consecutive week.
That move isn’t as surprising as it was a week ago when Williams went from being the starter for the first 10 games to not dressing for the game, but the shift Seattle made in its secondary appears permanent with DeShawn Shead now starting at cornerback and Jeremy Lane and Marcus Burley serving as the nickel defenders.
Other players inactive for the Seahawks: CB Tye Smith, RB Marshawn Lynch (abdominal muscle), OL Kristjan Sokoli, TE Chase Coffman, DE Demarcus Dobbs and DT Jordan Hill.
