Roster Move: Seahawks sign linebacker Power Echols

Echols spent his 2025 rookie season on the Chicago Bears' and Houston Texans' practice squads.

The Seattle Seahawks continued to shuffle their 90-man roster during training camp on Friday, signing linebacker Power Echols and waiving linebacker Joseph Vaughn.

Echols, who went undrafted out of North Carolina in 2025, spent his rookie season on the Chicago Bears’ and Houston Texans’ practice squads. He was a three-year starter at North Carolina, where he totaled 307 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, four interceptions and three forced fumbles over his four-year college career.

The 5-foot-11, 240-pound Echols joins a Seattle off-ball linebacker room that includes Ernest Jones IV, Drake Thomas, Tyrice Knight, Patrick O’Connell, Chris Paul Jr. and Chazz Surratt.

Vaughn, who went undrafted out of UCLA in 2025, signed with the Seahawks last week.
