Oddsmakers tab Seahawks as Super Bowl favorites

The Seahawks’ stomping of the New York Giants has made an impression with oddsmakers in Las Vegas, who have boosted Seattle’s odds of winning the Super Bowl.

LVH SuperBook has now listed the Seahawks at 3-to-2 to win Super Bowl XLVII in New York in February, up from 2-to-1 a week ago.

The Seahawks’ 23-0 victory moved them to 12-2 and one game from clinching home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. Seattle has not lost a game at CenturyLink Field in two years.

The Broncos remains the favorite to meet the Seahawks in the Super Bowl. But their surprising loss to San Diego last week lengthened their odds of winning it all from 9-to-5 to 5-to-2.

The rival 49ers, who beat the Seahawks last week, are third with 8-to-1 odds. New England, New Orleans, Cincinnati and Carolina all have 12-to-1 odds.
