Here are the NFL Draft prospects from UW and Seattle area

Last year’s NFL Draft saw two local products selected in the first round, which could happen once again this time around.

Penn State guard Olaivavega Ioane, a product of Class 4A powerhouse Graham-Kapowsin High School, and UW Huskies wide receiver Denzel Boston, a graduate of Emerald Ridge High School in South Hill, are each projected to be first-round picks in this year’s draft, which begins with the first round on Thursday.

Ioane, a second-team AP All-American and first-team All-Big Ten selection this past season, is projected to go in the middle of the first round and could even be a top-10 pick. If Ioane is picked in the first round as expected, it would mark the third straight year an offensive lineman from Washington has gone in the first round. Mount Tahoma High School alumnus Taliese Fuaga was the 14th overall pick in the 2024 draft and Rainier Beach High School product Josh Conerly Jr. was the 29th overall pick in the 2025 draft.

Boston is projected to go late in the first round or early in the second. A third-team All-Big Ten pick in 2025, Boston is seeking being the Huskies’ fourth first-round pick since the 2024 draft, which featured three Huskies going in the first round. He could also be the second wide receiver from the state to be drafted in the first round in as many years. Steilacoom High School product Emeka Egbuka was the 19th overall pick last year.
