Five UW Huskies picked on Day 3 of NFL Draft

Five UW Huskies players heard their names called during Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft on Saturday.

Browns pick UW Huskies WR Denzel Boston in second round

The Denver Broncos selected running back Jonah Coleman in the fourth round with the 108th overall pick. The San Francisco 49ers drafted offensive lineman Carver Willis in the fourth round with the 127th overall pick and cornerback Ephesians Prysock in the fourth round with the 139th overall pick.

The Atlanta Falcons picked defensive tackle Anterio Thompson is the sixth round at No. 208 overall. And the Jacksonville Jaguars took edge rusher Zach Durfee in the seventh round with the 233rd overall pick.

The 6-foot-5, 303-pound Willis started 10 games at left tackle and earned an All-Big Ten honorable mention in his lone season with the Huskies in 2025. Willis suffered a torn MCL against Ohio State in September, but missed just three games before returning for the Huskies’ final six games.

Prior to arriving at UW, Carver spent five seasons at Kansas State, which included the COVID-shortened 2020 campaign. He made seven starts as a sophomore in 2023 and 11 as a junior in 2024, all at right tackle.

Carver is projected to slide inside to guard in the NFL.

Bengals draft UW Huskies CB Tacario Davis in third round

The 6-foot-3, 196-pound Prysock spent his final two college seasons at UW. After transferring from Arizona, he totaled 13 passes defended, one interception, one forced fumble and one tackle for loss in 26 games.

This past season, Prysock had seven passes defended and an interception. He allowed 42 receptions for 351 yards and five TDs on 73 targets.

Prysock was the second UW defensive back taken in the draft, joining third-round cornerback Tacario Davis, who went to Cincinnati on Friday. The Huskies have had nine defensive backs draft since 2017.

Thompson, who measures in at 6-foot-1 and 308 pounds, had 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and two passes defended in 13 games as a member of the Huskies’ defensive line rotation this past season.

Thompson, one of two UW players to be drafted despite not receiving an invite to the scouting combine, spent one season at UW. He began his college career Western Community College in Iowa before transferring to the University of Iowa in 2023. He then transferred to Western Michigan and received his first significant playing time at the NCAA Division-I level in 2024. With Western Michigan, Thompson had 1.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack and two passes defended in 13 games.

Durfee spent three seasons at UW, though he was deemed ineligible at the start of the 2023 season after transferring from NCAA Division-II Sioux Falls. The 6-foot-4, 247-pound edge rusher totaled 53 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, three passes defended and one forced fumble in 17 career games for the Huskies.

Durfee was limited to just six games, 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks in 2024 while battling turf toe injuries in both feet. He stayed mostly healthy this past season, missing two games with an elbow injury. In 11 contests, he totaled five tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, two passes defended and a forced fumble while serving as a team captain.

Durfee wasn’t invited to the scouting combine but impressed at UW’s pro day with a 4.55-second 40-yard dash and 39-inch vertical jump. Those numbers would have ranked fourth and tied for fifth, respectfully, at his position at the combine.

In total, the Huskies ended up with seven players selected in this year’s draft, a big jump from only one last year. In addition to UW’s five selections Saturday and Davis being picked on Friday, wide receiver Denzel Boston was taken in the second round by the Cleveland Browns on Friday.
