The UW Huskies’ football team will have a pair of Friday night games this fall.

Washington’s home game against Iowa has been moved to Friday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m. on either FOX or FS1. And the following week, the Huskies’ road game at Purdue has been moved to Friday, Oct. 16, at 5 p.m. on FOX.

Both games were originally scheduled to be played a day later on Saturday. The Big Ten Conference and FOX Sports announced the changes Friday morning.

UW’s other 10 regular-season games this fall will remain on Saturdays. Kickoff times for their first three games will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Huskies’ game against Iowa has the potential to be a Top 25 matchup. Washington was ranked No. 17 in ESPN’s mid-April “Way-Too-Early Top 25,” while Iowa was ranked No. 19.

Meanwhile, the Huskies’ trip to Purdue will be their first since 1990.
