Report: Gonzaga will face Oregon in Seattle this season

The Zags will return to Seattle's Climate Pledge Arena for a nonconference matchup each of the next two seasons.

Gonzaga men’s basketball will return to Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena for a nonconference matchup each of the next two seasons.

The Zags will square off against Oregon at Climate Pledge Arena on Jan. 30, 2027, and then will face UCLA in Seattle during the 2027-28 season, according to Rocco Miller of Bracketeer.org.

Gonzaga has played a nonconference game at Climate Pledge Arena in four of the previous five seasons. Those matchups pitted the Zags against in high-profile showdowns against UCLA, Kentucky, Connecticut and Alabama.

Here’s a look at Gonzaga’s announced or reported non-conference opponents for this season:

vs. Purdue – Nov. 2 (Las Vegas)
vs. LSU – Nov. 14 (Spokane Arena)
vs. Kansas State in Players Era 16 – Nov. 24 (Las Vegas)
vs. Alabama or Baylor in Players Era 16 – Nov. 26 (Las Vegas)
vs. TBD in Players Era 16 – Nov. 27 (Las Vegas)
vs. UCLA – Dec. 5 (Anaheim)
at Creighton – Dec. 12
vs. Michigan State – Dec. 19 (Palm Desert, Calif.)
vs. Oregon – Jan. 30 (Seattle)
vs. Duke – Feb. 20 (Detroit)
