Introducing Sound Stories: A Seattle Soccer Podcast

Announcing the new Sound Stories podcast, covering the Seattle soccer scene with a wide range of guests, and the only criteria being that they have good stories to tell.

In an effort to supplement my coverage, analysis, and reporting on the Seattle Sounders here at 710 ESPN Seattle, I’m starting up a podcast to cover an entirely different aspect of the club: great stories. On the Sound Stories podcast, I’ll have a wide range of guests, from fans and players to journalists, coaches and beyond; the only criteria is that they have good stories to tell.

Whether it’s a story that is already known by many or is completely new to all but the storyteller, I want to give guests the chance to have their stories reach as many people as possible. Often, those stories will lead to questions or prompts or more stories, and my goal is to produce episodes both informative, entertaining and new for our listeners.

Feedback is certainly welcome, both in the comments and on Twitter. I also welcome any suggestions for guests, and I’ll do what I can to get suitable guests on the show. You can keep track of the podcast on our website and app, and you can also subscribe to it on iTunes to get the latest episodes as soon as they’re available.

You can listen to the debut episode with Sounder at Heart founder Dave Clark at this link.

Spenser Davis covered the Sounders for 710Sports.com. He also covers the team for Sounder at Heart and has written for World Soccer Talk. Spenser attended Texas Christian University in his hometown of Fort Worth. Follow Spenser on Twitter.
