See the Seattle Mariners’ opening day lineup vs Guardians

The Seattle Mariners are ready to go for opening day, with their lineup set for their 7:10 p.m. game against the Cleveland Guardians at T-Mobile Park.

Below is how the Mariners will look as they begin their second full season under manager Dan Wilson.

This is Logan Gilbert’s second straight opening day start on the mound for the M’s, who have high expectations coming off of their first American League West title and appearance in the AL Championship Series in 24 years.

With usual shortstop J.P. Crawford starting the season on the injured list with a shoulder issue, Leo Rivas takes his usual spot.

First baseman Josh Naylor will match up in the game against his brother Bo Naylor, who is a catcher for Cleveland. They previously were teammates with the Guardians and just played together on Team Canada in the World Baseball Classic.

Tanner Bibee will get the nod on the mound for Cleveland in the opener, which is the team’s third under Stephen Vogt, who was hired as Guardians manager after spending 2023 as the Mariners’ bullpen coach. It’s Bibee’s first opening day start, though he was initially scheduled to start Game 1 for the Guardians last season and had his debut pushed back a few days due to illness.

Mariners Radio Network coverage of the game will feature Rick Rizzs, the longtime voice of the M’s, on the call to begin his last season in the broadcast booth. Rizzs announced in January that he would retire after the 2026 campaign.
