Mariners place Dylan Moore on unconditional release waivers
The Seattle Mariners placed Dylan Moore on unconditional release waivers, which will allow the longtime utilityman to become a free agent.

It appears that Dylan Moore’s time with the Seattle Mariners is officially coming to an end.
Mariners reinstate Victor Robles from IL, DFA Dylan Moore
The Mariners announced on Sunday that they placed the 33-year-old Moore on unconditional release waivers “for the purpose of granting him his unconditional release.” That will allow Moore to become a free agent, making him eligible to sign with any team.
Moore was designated for assignment on Saturday to make room on the active roster for outfielder Victor Robles, who was activated off the injured list in a corresponding move.
Moore, who won the American League Gold Glove Award as a utility player last season, was the longest-tenured player on the Mariners’ roster. He signed with Seattle in November 2018 and spent the past seven seasons with the M’s as a versatile utilityman.
Moore got off to a strong start this year, batting .272 with eight home runs and an .827 OPS through his first 41 games.
But he’s been mired in a massive slump over the past three months, batting .045 with just three hits, seven walks and 38 strikeouts over his past 74 plate appearances. For the season, he’s hitting .193 with nine homers and a .622 OPS.
Moore appeared in 671 games over his seven seasons in Seattle, batting .205 with 61 homers, 116 stolen bases and a .692 OPS.

One of those difficult decisions that needed to be made in a tough game. Moore likely agreed when he was told by Wilson he was being released after being in the game so long. I thank him for all the years of his hard playing and effort. I wish him nothing but the best for his BB future; just don't make us pay facing your future team. God Bless you and your family D-Mo!
