• Manny Acta will manage the squad sent to Surprise, while Scott Servais will stay in Peoria.

• After being shut down last week with hand soreness, Mitch Haniger still has not been cleared to resume hitting. According to Servais he is progressing, but they want him to be seen by the team doctor before allowing him to take two-handed swings again.

• Felix Hernandez is spending the day getting treatment on his right arm after getting hit by a ball off the bat of Cubs catcher Victor Caratini. Felix said Caratini reached out to him via Instagram after the ball game. “He sent me a DM and said, ‘Dude, I’m sorry,'” said Felix. “I said, ‘Don’t worry about it. Don’t try to it it so hard up the middle.'”
