Mariners have a new top 30 prospect list for 2026

MLB Pipeline released its first top-30 prospect rankings of the 2026 season for the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday.

There are plenty of familiar names who make up the group, but there has also been a decent amount of change over the past year with players graduating from prospect status, being traded or rising and falling based off their 2025 performances.

While young hitters have made up the top of the Mariners’ prospect list the past couple years, two promising pitchers (left-hander Kade Anderson and right-hander Rylan Sloan) account for two of top three spots along with shortstop Colt Emerson heading into the 2026 season.

Six of the Mariners’ top 30 are in MLB Pipeline’s overall top 100, which is tied for the most in the league.

In total, Seattle’s new top 30 includes 14 pitches, nine outfielders, three shortstops, two second basemen and one catcher. It also includes eight 2025 draft picks and the club’s top 2026 international free agent signing of 2026 (outfielder Juan Rijo).
