College Football Insider: How UW, WSU losses impact battle for Pac-12 North

Maura Dooley of 710 ESPN Seattle gets you up to speed on the latest in the Pac-12 North and with the UW Huskies and WSU Cougars after both teams lost this weekend.

SPONSORED – For the first time since the season opened on Nov. 7, there were no cancellations to the Pac-12 North football schedule. That’s the good news. The bad news is that it was a rough weekend for both the UW Huskies and WSU Cougars.

Recap stories: UW loses to Stanford | WSU loses to USC

UW faced a double-digit deficit heading into halftime for the second straight week but could not pull off a repeat of its impressive comeback a week earlier over Utah, falling 31-26 to Stanford.

As for WSU, it got off to a rough start at USC following a 21-day break from competition due to COVID-19 issues. The Cougars’ defense recovered in the second half but the offense was unable to find the necessary spark to get them back in the game as the Trojans won 38-13.

In this week’s College Football Insider brought to you by Mac & Jack’s Brewing Company, 710 ESPN Seattle’s Maura Dooley breaks down those losses and how they impact the battle for the Pac-12 North.
