Wide receiver Dante Pettis is our featured Husky NFL Draft prospect for Washington Wednesdays.
Pettis is off to a great start. He caught three passes for 85 yards in the season-opener against Rutgers last Friday, including a 51-yarder from quarterback Jake Browning, and returned a punt for a touchdown that gave the Huskies some much-needed momentum.

With John Ross going in the first round to the Cincinnati Bengals in April’s draft, the Huskies needed a receiver to step up. Pettis did.
NFL Draft Scout has him projected as a second-round pick, but it’s quite possible he could go in the first round when he turns pro. He has decent size at six feet and 192 pounds. His speed is around 4.5 seconds or faster in the 40-yard dash. Something else that will certainly help, he has six punt returns for touchdowns during his Husky career.
